Rum Punch
Jul 07, 2026
One part sour, two parts sweet, three parts strong, four parts weak. The old Caribbean rhyme for rum punch has been guiding people to a good time for centuries, and it endures because it works. Our version takes that framework, drops Landlocked White Rum at the centre, and adds grenadine to give it that signature warm, sunset colour and a touch of pomegranate sweetness.
Landlocked White Rum is a clean, characterful spirit — light enough to let the other ingredients speak, but with enough personality to remind you you're drinking something with a story. It's made from molasses, distilled in small batches, and carries a natural sweetness that makes it the perfect base for a punch-style serve.
Lime juice provides the sour, orange juice adds the sweet tropical depth, and the grenadine ties it all together with colour and a gentle berry sweetness. Shake it hard, serve over ice in a highball, and garnish with a pineapple frond for the visual.
This is the drink for crowds, for gardens, for anyone who needs a large jug made in advance and left on the table. It scales beautifully — just multiply everything up and refrigerate until you're ready. Don't overthink it. Rum punch has survived this long because people who drink it don't tend to ask too many questions.
