Gin 17•09

A gin that we can safely say you have never tried one like it before!

That's not some sort of click bait, attention seeking load of BS, I promise. I can safely say that because most gins, if not all of them, are made from a base neutral spirit akin to vodka. The only good thing vodka offers. I however have used our base Landlocked Rum distillate to create something a little exciting and different. 

I've also only used five botanicals whereas most gins are made from a list as long as your arm. How are you supposed to taste that many elements in a drink? I've blended the traditional (and required) juniper, with Sarsaparilla Root, coriander seeds, fresh orange peel and dried sweet orange. This creates a bloody delicious gin that's balanced in flavour and so easy to drink. 

It's makes a fantastic G&T and an immense martini with a little orange twist. 

The name 17•09 reflects September 17th, birthday of my late father in-law. An incredible man that had a profound impact on my life in the short time I had with him. We drank a lot of gin together and specifically a fair bit of a certain American gin who happen to use Sarsaparilla Root. This is why I use it now because the flavour is unique and bloody delicious!
