Dive into the rich, intense flavours of our meticulously crafted dark spiced rum. Made from scratch using a molasses base, this spirit undergoes double pot distillation for maximum flavour retention. We achieve its deep, complex character by enhancing it with a dunder essence created from the spent molasses of our first distillation—a nod to traditional, deep-flavour rum making. We then layer this dark base with our signature rum and a unique second spiced rum, made by re-infusing the spent spices from our Spiced Rum. A touch of caramel is added for a smooth, balanced finish.
The result? A dark spiced rum packed with bold, authentic, and layered flavours—all derived from natural ingredients.

What is 'dunder essence' and why do you use it?
Dunder is the liquid residue left after distillation. In traditional rum making, adding dunder back into the mash or fermentation (as an essence) increases flavour compounds and enhances the rum's deep, funky, and complex character.
What is 'scratch rum'?
Our scratch rum means we handle the entire process, from fermenting the molasses base through to distillation, ensuring complete control over the spirit's foundational quality.
Is this rum better for sipping or mixing?
Thanks to its bold structure, it's perfect for sipping neat or over ice, but its intensity also makes it an unmatched base for a complex Spiced Rum Old Fashioned.
