The Story
Every gin range needs a proper London Dry. Something clean enough for a G&T, structured enough for a Negroni, and honest about being exactly that rather than trying to be clever. The H-V Axis is Grid & Grove's answer: eight classic botanicals macerated for 24 hours before being run through the distillery's new 50-litre pot still.
It's built to work everywhere a London Dry is supposed to work. A G&T that doesn't need explaining, a Negroni that holds its own, or neat if you want to taste the botanical bill on its own terms.
How it's made
The botanicals macerate in ethanol for 24 hours before I run them through our new 50-litre pot still: juniper berries, coriander seed, angelica root, powdered orris root, dried lemon peel, dried orange peel, cassia bark, and liquorice root. The resulting distillate is then slowly brought to bottling strength over three days.
Why it's different
Honestly? It isn't trying to be. Where the rest of Grid & Grove pushes into smoke, strength, sweetness or something more unusual, The H-V Axis is deliberately the reliable one. The gin that's there for everyone, every time, without needing a story to justify it.

Not deliberately — it's built as a proper, classic London Dry rather than a twist on one. If you want the range's more unusual gin, that's The Hearth or Grid Forty Seven; The H-V Axis is the one that's always going to work.
