Spiced Rum Old Fashioned

A delicious twist on a classic cocktail that features heavily in my rotation at home!
I absolutely love a classic old fashioned, in fact it was the first cocktail that introduced me to the world of mixed drinks. It's base framework is the perfect way to enjoy our Landlocked English Spiced Rum, enjoy!
Recipe:
- 75ml Landlocked English Spiced Rum
- 25ml Demerara Syrup
- 2 dashes Angostura Bitters
- 2 dashes Orange Bitters
Method
- Add all of the ingredients into a mixing jug along with some ice. Give it all a good mix for about 20 seconds before straining into a rocks glass filled with ice. Finish with a fresh twist of orange peel.
Top Tip. The Demerara syrup is so easy to make. Simply weigh equal amounts of Demerara sugar and boiling water into a jug or bowl. Give it a good mix until it's all dissolved then allow to cool before using.
